The purposes of the Chaplaincy are to:

  1. Share, interpret, promote and develop knowledge about contemporary countryside matters affecting Worcestershire and in so doing supporting laity and clergy alike who operate within, or hold an interest in, the rural realm to further their understanding;
  2. Advance the Christian faith by illuminating its contemporary relevance to the interpretation of the nature and needs of agricultural and rural life in Worcestershire, where necessary working in partnership with relevant public, charitable, commercial and educational undertakings concerned with promoting economic, social, cultural and environmental well-being;
  3. Endeavour, in furtherance of these purposes, to increase awareness amongst the general public, people of faith, groups and organisations of the issues facing agricultural and rural communities.
